Laser Nail Fungus Treatment

Some people are too embarrassed to wear open-toe shoes because they are unhappy with the sight of their toenail fungus. We have the solution. Our innovative laser treatment actively targets onychomycosis, or toenail fungus, without the need for pharmacy creams or medications. Put your best foot forward all year round.

Onychomycosis is a fungal condition of the nails which can cause unsightly thickening and discoloration of the nail plate. Anyone can contract onychomycosis and it is one of the hardest fungal infections to get rid of. Lasers have now become a popular treatment method for nail fungus because is it fast, comfortable and can be very effective.

The laser beam is passed through your nail bed and the surrounding area. The heat given off by the laser works to destroy onychomycosis and restore normal looking nails.

Various causes can lead to toenail fungus including wearing closed shoes for too long without airing out the toes, exposing your feet to too much moisture, wearing other people’s shoes, or showering at communal spaces like gyms, work etc. You can also contract toenail fungus if you have an injured toe or nail that you don’t get treated that subsequently gets infiltrated by germs.
A powerful Nd:YAG laser is used to preferentially heat the nail bed, at the same time heating the fungi to kill it off. Your nails must first be cut and filed because the fungus would have allowed the nail to thicken and overgrow. This thickening will obstruct the laser light from heating the nail properly. The laser light is then applied to the nail in a circular, overlapping pattern. We also treat the perimeter of the nail to ensure we treat any fungus that has spread. All 10 nails are treated even if only 1 or 2 are affected.
You will need 4 sessions spaced a week apart. Treatments are quick, often lasting less than 20 minutes.
The treatment is very tolerable, with patients reporting feeling general warming in the treatment site that can be accompanied by some areas that get a little hotter. There is no downtime with this treatment.
What is the cost? 4 sessions for $360

Treatments are sold as a set of 4. In many cases this is sufficient to treat toenail fungus. In some cases you may need another course of 4 treatments.
