Pigment Treatments for Everyone

Pigmentation. We all have some degree of uneven pigment. A lot of this is due to accumulated sun exposure, but sometimes it can be from hormonal causes or even post-inflammatory scarring. Want to know how you can manage your pigment? Read on to find out more.

What is pigment? It is what gives us our skin and hair colour. However as we age or spend time in the sun, the pigment on our skin can become uneven. We can even get mottled pigmentation from scarring or from pigment disorders like melasma.

Freckles, sun spots, age spots, birthmarks, chloasma patches- there are many forms of pigmentation. Not all pigment can be treated the same, however.

We have many assaults up our sleeve to combat uneven pigmentation and help you achieve a more even complexion. IPL, laser, chemical peels, cosmeceutical creams and prescription creams can all be used to treat uneven pigmentation. We will put together a treatment plan for you once we have assessed what type of pigment you have. We will take Visia photos so we can see any pigment on the surface of your skin, but also any underlying deeper pigment that may not be visible at first. Pigment must be treated with care. If you would like to know how we can help you achieve a more even complexion, please schedule a complimentary consultation with one of our dermal therapists today.
